Another Earth Day is upon us and reminds us all (including companies like ours) that we have to take active steps in order to reduce our impact on the environment. Keeping up to date with the highest standards and certifications internationally has been and continues to be a main priority for IRISO as we continue to innovate solutions for today and tomorrow’s electronics.
We also “come with receipts” as they say nowadays. Transparency with our standards and certifications is essential to maintain and improve upon our environmental impact as a company and we hope to lead by example to make sure other companies are transparent about their policies as well.
In 1996, IRISO acquired the international standard ISO9001 of quality management. Thereafter, the company acquired QS which is the standard of the American automotive industry (ISO/TS16949) in 2007 which is an international unification standard. This was updated to IATF16949 in 2018, and IRISO continues to conduct efforts to reach these high-quality standards in various markets. In 2000, IRISO acquired the certification of environmental management system ISO14001 meaning we conduct all of our operations through the viewpoint and lens of environmental preservation and consideration.
Being a global company is also helpful in maintaining our knowledge and understanding of the advancements and requirements of industries and countries around the world. We are proud to be RoHS compliant meaning we follow the restriction of hazardous substances guidelines established by the European Union. We strive to maintain this certification as new environmental restrictions are adopted.
